Requirements For Modifying A Gob.Mx Domain

Administrative process, applicable only to Domain names (.EDU.MX, .GOB.MX, NET.MX) to perform any of the following actions:

  • Update of Registrant's data (name, telephone, address, email).
  • Change of Main User (If you don't have access to the Main User)
  • Assign domain rights
  • Advanced Security Cancellation

The requirements to change the data or Main User of a .GOB.MX domain are:

  1. Have a user in Akky. If you do not have a user yet, you can register one by clicking here.
  2. Gather and attach the following documentation to the email:
    • Letter on digital letterhead dated recently, text only spanish (download the letter example here)
    • Official identification valid on both sides and in color of the Representative of the Government Agency.
    • Official government appointment of the representative of the agency for which the modification of the domain information is requested (It can be an official appointment or Certificate of Majority).
  1. You must then send an email to the account: autenticacion@akky.mx 
    • Subject: Modification of .GOB.MX domain
    • Message body: Domain name + documentation

NOTE: 

  • Copies or scans of credentials and/or documents in which the photograph or information is not legible will not be accepted.
  • If the documents are not legible, are not sent in an orderly manner or are incomplete, your request will be rejected.
  • Attached files must not exceed seven (15) Megabytes, as they cannot be received. It is recommended to only use the We Transfer platform (attach link in the email).
